What Happens After Your ABA Intake Form?

Completing your Intake Form is a big milestone—and one step closer to starting your child’s ABA journey.
Once you click “Submit,” many families wonder what happens next. Will someone contact us? When will therapy start? What’s left to do?
Here’s what you can expect.
Step 1: We Review Your Information
An RBA will carefully review your completed Intake Form to learn more about your child and your family’s goals.
We’ll review information such as:
- Communication skills
- Medical considerations
- Current supports
- Behaviour and safety needs
- Preferred schedule
- Therapy goals
This review helps us prepare for the next steps and ensures we have the information needed to provide individualized care in a safe environment.
If we have any questions or need additional planning, we’ll reach out before moving forward.
Step 2: You’re Invited to Visit Our Clinic
Families are welcome to schedule an optional clinic tour before services begin.
Tours are available Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
During your visit, you can:
- Explore our therapy spaces
- See where your child will learn and play
- Ask questions about our programs and contracts
- Meet members of our team when available
- Help your child become familiar with the environment
Many children feel more comfortable arriving for their first session after they’ve already visited the clinic once.
Step 3: Review Our ABA Contract Video
Before services begin, we’ll ask you to watch our short Contract Video and complete the online Service Agreement.
The video explains important information including:
- Attendance expectations
- Cancellation procedures
- Parent responsibilities
- Billing
- Clinic policies
- What you can expect from our team
We know there is a lot of information to absorb when starting services, so the video allows you to review everything at your own pace and refer back to it whenever needed.
Step 4: Scheduling Your Child’s Services
Once your Intake Form and contract are complete, our Operations Coordinator will begin coordinating your child’s schedule.
Scheduling takes several factors into consideration:
- Therapist and room availability
- Your child’s recommended therapy hours
- Transportation
Our goal is to create a schedule that supports meaningful progress.
We currently have morning appointments available.
Step 5: Preparing for Your First Day
Before your child’s first session, we’ll make sure everything is ready.
Our team prepares by:
- Reviewing your Intake Form
- Reviewing assessment recommendations (if applicable)
- Preparing materials
- Organizing therapy spaces
- Planning rapport-building activities based on your child’s interests
Your child’s first sessions focus on building trust, creating positive experiences, and getting to know one another.
We’re Excited to Meet You
Starting ABA therapy is more than completing paperwork—it’s the beginning of a partnership.
Our team is committed to making every step of the process welcoming, organized, and family-centred.
If you have questions at any point, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help make your transition into services as smooth as possible.
